X-Factor (1986) #2

Issue: Volume 1, No. 2
Date: March 1986
Publisher: Marvel Comics

After a 3 year hiatus from this blog and a 3-month hiatus from perusing the Marvel Unlimited App, I finally plunged back into the water to catch up on my X-Men obsession.

X-Factor takes a break from the mainstay series to show us the original X-Men, with resurrected Jean Grey and all, take on new deadly foes. While the series isn't on my top priority list, I definitely want to read enough just to see the first appearance of Apocalypse, whom I heard makes an appearance in issue No. 5.

Besides that, I'm kinda bummed out that Cyclops seems to have abandoned his wife and child. What a douche! But on the brighter side, it's cool to see Beast and Angel in action.

Not sure how long I'll stick with this title after Apocalypse makes his entrance, but until then, I'll keep chugging along with this beast.

They seem real cool, and I like the dialog, but this is definitely a bridge between the wordy and vernacular 1960s Stan and Kirby Productions and The 90s visually driven aesthetics. As for the story, someone wants to trade places, but don't ask me who...
